The Deposit of $200.00 must be made (Venmo, Paypal or Check in mail) at time of registration in order to hold your spot. Payment options are listed on the "Registration" link. These workshops are taught from DONA/ICEA background.

A NON-refundable Deposit of $200.00 is mandatory to hold your space in the workshop. Balance is due at the workshop, paid via Check, cash (preferred) or Venmo
Classes and costs:
Birth Doula Workshop and Introduction to Childbirth class: $495.00 for all 3 days: Required for non-birth professionals
Birth Doula Workshop only: $400.00. (you can attend the weekend only workshop if you already have a back round in Childbirth)
Introduction to childbirth workshop only: $150.00
Breastfeeding class for Doulas: $35.00. 3 hours, virtual
ICEA workshop: $400.00
*In the event of an unexpected situation, your deposit can be transferred towards a future workshop within a year of registration.
Birth Doula Workshop information: This workshop is the full requirement and first step, towards recognization as a Birth Doula. The process of certification begins AFTER the workshop and is an individual choice to become certified or not. You will be a "TRAINED BIRTH DOULA" at the end of the workshop. Both affiliated doula trainings organizations (DONA, and ICEA) are "Internationally" recognized.
Requirements before the workshop: Read: "Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Newborn" and "The Birth Partner" both by Penny Simkin.
Friday intro class:this class covers the process of labor and delivery, hospital procedures, medical interventions, comfort skills, relaxation and breathing practice. We also discuss equity care for all persons, and inclusivity.
The Friday "Introduction to Childbirth" will be virtual: 8 am-5 pm. The weekend portion is IN-PERSON.
Weekend Birth Doula workshop: Prenatal support, business practices, hands on skills, positions for labor and delivery, challenges, certification information, comfort measures and MORE! A detailed handbook is given to each participant for both workshops.
ICEA Workshop: Each day runs 8:00-5:30 and includes details fo how to prepare the ICEA Certification exam, teaching practices, curriculum development, ICEA position and statements and teaching practice in front of your fellow students.
Breastfeeding students may bring a pump to provide if needed. Sorry, no babies at the workshop.
