Childbirth education is a very important part of the process for a better birth experience. The more you know, the easier it will go. Being prepared, knowing your options, understanding how the process proceeds and having support can be part of the best start to this new journey. As you learn about childbirth comfort skills, you will also find that everything you used during your birth, will also be used to comfort your baby! What an excellent help for your new role as a parent.

The birth doula is that constant, comforting, reassuring presence in the labor room, birth center or home. Becoming a doula is a passion among many women who are called to this field. Many of you have probably already been at a birth-for your friends or a family member. Becoming professionally educated as doula can take your passion to the next level and allows you to call yourself a “Trained Birth Doula”.
Parenting. The most important job you’ll ever love.
Preparing the Parents
Education, Support, Guidance and training
Becoming a parent is one of the most amazing events in a person's life. It is a time of learning and understanding what your baby is telling you in his or her own special baby language. Babies are little humans who come into the world completely dependent on their caregiver-you, the parents. They can tell you what they need at any time, but trying to figure out WHAT that is, is the tricky part. Education and guidance from a doula and childbirth expert can make this process so much easier-and more enjoyable for you as you learn to navigate this new lifestyle. I would love to help make this a smooth journey for all involved!
The original members of Beautiful Beginnings (1994)
Beautiful Beginnings was started by 5 women in 1994. Stacey is one of the founding members. As the awareness of doulas started to grow, Stacey and her partners saw a need for more doulas in the community, so they began their organization, which today has over 44 birth and postpartum doulas, as well as Childbirth Educators, Massage Therapists, and affliates, who are dedicated to supporting women and families during their childbearing years.
